jacks kindergarten graduation
My boy is moving on and up to first grade and I am really not sure how I will cope having him in school all day. Why do kids have to grow up so fast, next think I know he will be 18 and graduating from high school. He just loves school, and he met so many friends. Here are some pictures of his "graduation".

How I Long for the Days
I used to long for the days when I would be able to put ponytails and pigtails in my little girls hair but I think I can say that I no longer have that at the top of my want list. Now I long for days when her hair was to short for her to twist into dreadlocks. I would love to go back to the short little whisps of hair, to small for her to do anything with. Each day I spend 15 minutes slicking her whispy hairs into submissive pigtails just to find that in the time we have driven to the store she has pulled them out along with a significant amount of her already sparse hair. Then she is twisting her hair as if getting it into dreadlock form is of the utmost importance. Sometimes I am actually tempted to shave it off. Any suggestions?

Grandparents day
Jack had Grandparents day at kindergarten. It was so cute. First the had a little program, with singing, reading and poems etc.... then they got to go make crafts and show off their reading and math skills with their grandparents. Jack did so well and I could not be prouder of him. Here are a couple of pics. I only got two pics because my camera ran out of batteries.

DIY headboard
For a while now I have been thinking of trying one of those DIY fabric headboard because I am not a fan of bedroom sets, and I didn't really have the money to buy a headboard. Finally I got around to doing it. It was a fairly simple project, but I will admit brandon ended up doing almost the entire thing because i am not daring enough to do all the cutting etc... myself. I chose blue velvet because I have an obsession for anything velvet and blue is probably my all time favorite color. So here is the final result! I love it.
Also I let the kids paint with shaving cream the other day and of course audrey had to paint her whole body. At least is smelled nice :) The last picture is audrey looking so serious I just had to add it in.

Jacks 6th Birthday Sleepover
My little man Jack turned 6 yrs old on the 15th of Jan. I can't believe how grown up he is, it seems like just yesterday he was my tiny little 6 lb baby. I sure love my boy!
We recently moved in a new house, and life is pretty chaotic so I didn't have time to plan a very elaborate party, but I knew that a sleepover with cousins would make him oh so happy, so thats what we did! We had cousins over for a sleepover and in the morning we did presents and cake bites (my new favorite birthday treat)! He enjoyed every minute and I hope the cousins did too. Happy Birthday little man!!
